A 17-member delegation from Quebec traveled across Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories in May to help end the siege of Gaza, to express solidarity with the Palestinian population, and to denounce Canada’s- and Quebec’s- position on the Palestinian issue.
Organized in partnership with Alternatives International, the delegation visited the West Bank, Jerusalem and Bethlehem, seeing firsthand the catastrophic impact of the fragmentation of the Palestinian territories by the Apartheid Wall and numerous Israeli check points.
The Quebecois delegation observed destroyed Palestinian homes and illegal Israeli settlements, including newly constructed homes within these settlements.
