Alternatives, 30 October 2005

An earthquake measuring at least 7.6 on the Richter scale has hit Asia. Worst affected are Kashmir and Pakistan, but the quake has also hit north India and Afghanistan.

Alternatives is there

We have partners on the ground in the affected region in Pakistan and India and following our initial assessments we are gearing up to supply emergency aid to approximately 100,000 people in some of the areas worst-affected by the earthquake.

Alternatives’ partners has a history of working in the area and Alternatives will be mobilising its existing partners and resources in the response.
