Rally in support of our Chiefs meeting with Canada
January 11, 2013 7am – 5pm

7am : Sunrise Ceremony

10am : Meet at Victoria Island with opening comments by organizers

• Opening prayer

• Opening song

• Honour song for Chief Spence

• Greetings by selected speaker of Algonquin Territory

• Preparation and roll call for march

11am : March to Parliament Hill – drums, eagle staffs and dancers in front – Grand Entry style march

• Rally at Parliament Hill

• Speaker list

• Honour song for ancestors of Algonquin Territory

• Powwow celebration song

• Preparation and roll call for march to meeting

1pm : March to meeting with drums, eagle staffs and dancers in front

• Speaker list

• Song and powwow

• Harper’s Meeting- welcome Chiefs to give update to our participants

• Closing Remarks

• Adjourn

PARKING FOR EVENT : A good spot is at the War Museum, it’s underground, out of the elements, they charge $12.00 for the day. Or park up town and walk down to the Island that way your cars ares close at the end of the rally.
